Nebbiolo, the noble variety typical from Piedmont, gets the name from “pruina”, asubstance we can find on the skins of the berries that makes them look like cov-ered by fog (“nebbia” or “bruma” in Italian). And it is in the foggy season – betweenOctober and November – that the nebbiolo ripes: now it is explained the name“Brumo”.
