From the vineyards grown on the black sandy soils of the Volcano comes a treasure from the volcano tangibly expresses the sensory characteristics and uniqueness of the grapes in the estate’s Single Vineyard. This vineyard is exclusively dedicated to the production of this label, and has been selected for the superior foliage of its vines, quality of its waters and its microclimate.

Nose: strong & sophisticated notes of red fruits, nutmeg & black pepper, framed by delicate rose petals

Flavor/Finish: clean, dynamic & lingering; with delicate tannins of fine lineage; notes of red fruits, spice and minerality

Varietal: Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio

Food Pairing: steak, game, roasted eggplant, aged cheese

Process: hand-picked, vinification in frustrum-of-cone shaped wooden vats; malolactic fermentation; aged 9 months in durmast Slovenian casks & 12 months in bottle
