Valpolicella (Valpolexèla in Veneto dialect) is the hilly area that precedes the beginning of the Veronese Prealps, in the Veneto region. It includes the territory of seven municipalities, all belonging to the province of Verona.

Color: intense ruby red

Nose: notes of plum, blackberry, cranberry, blueberry & spice  

Flavor/Finish: dry, with a soft, round finish; notes of dark berries & spice  

Varietal: 50% Corvina, 50% Corvinone  

Food Pairing: stewed meat, furred & winged game, hard & spicy cheeses  

Process: “Appassimento” drying for 25 days, 25 days fermentation in stainless steel, 5 months aging in 500 L French oak barels; bottle aged 4 months

Serving Temperature: 60 - 65 °F

Alcohol: 14.5%

Residual Sugar: 9 g/L
