Moscato Bianco is the oldest known grape variety grown in Piemonte; however, Moscato d’Asti as we know it today has a fairly young history dating back to around the 1870s. Previously reserved for the winemaker’s families, it grew in popularity due to its easy drinkability, delightful effervescence & balanced sweetness & acidity.

Nose: strongly aromatic scents of peach, pear, melon & yellow apple
Flavor/Finish: citrus, peach, melon & apricot notes; sweetness contrasted with high acidity & a delicate, persistent perlage
Varietal: 100% Moscato
Food Pairing: fish, light salads, cheesecake, puddings & pastries, lemon cakes
Process: pressing & separation of must within 48 hours; 2nd natural fermentation interrupted at 6.5%, maintaining desired residual sugar
