The royal Savoy court was the first big promoter of Vermouth di Torino in the late XVIII century, facilitating Torino’s growth & popularity into becoming the “Kingdom of Vermouth.” It is now defined as “an aromatised wine obtained in Piedmont using Italian wine only...alcohol, flavoured mainly with Artemisia  from Piedmont...with other herbs & spices.” 

Color: amber

Nose: herbs, spices & vanilla

Flavor/Finish: full-bodied, yet well balanced, with intense & persistent flavors of aromatic herbs, spices & vanilla  

Varietal: select Piemontese white wines  

Food Pairing: ideal on the rocks as an aperitif or mixed with cocktails  

Process: maceration of herbs & spices in alcohol for a minimum of 30 days, then mixed with wine, alcohol & sugar  

Serving Temperature: serve chilled on ice or in a variety of cocktails   

Alcohol: 15%

Sugar: 140 g/L

Considered the foundation of modern styles of Vermouth, Vermouth di Torino is praised (ours since 1922!) for its versatility as an aperitif & as an essential ingredient in classic cocktails that have recently seen a resurgence, such as the Manhattan & Negroni.
