Harmonium is the winning combination of Nero d’ Avola’s strength and Firriato’s style. The goal with Harmonium was to create the “cru of crus” that offered all the manifestations of this eclectic vine’s richness. After 15 years of analysis and microvinification, Firriato identified three different crus in the 165 hectares of the Borgo Guarini Estate: Ferla, Lepre and Beccaccia, cultivating vines from three different Nero d’Avola clones.

Color: deep ruby red, with purplish hues

Nose: cherry, prunes & dark berries, with fine notes of rhubarb, cinchona, pepper, tobacco, nutmeg & dark chocolate

Flavor/Finish: power, elegance, lively tannins, freshness, all blended harmoniously enveloping the palate, with extraordinary persistence & polish, typical of great wine

Varietal: 100% Nero d’Avola

Food Pairing: steak, game, aged cheese

Process: hand-picked, vinification in controlled temp steel tanks, malolactic fermentation; aged 12 months in French & American durmast barriques, then 12 months in bottle
