The name “Veriacus” indicated the valley of Negrar in the Middle Ages. Verjago is an extraordinary Valpolicella in which the elegance & conviviality find their true &most complete expression. It is the result of Quality Project, a multi-year research project led by Domìni Veneti, which focused on the micro-areas of the Negrar valley. Only the best grapes are selected from the hilly vineyards, with special harvesting& processing to result in a Super Valpolicella, noble & captivating.

Color: intense ruby red, with hints of violet

Nose: notes of mature dark-skinned berries, underbrush & cooking spices

Flavor/Finish: warm, smooth, fine & elegant; flavors of raisin, mocha & star anise, alongside close-grained tannins

Varietal: 40% Corvina, 25% Rondinella,15% Corvinone, 15% Croatina, 5% Oseleta

Food Pairing: grilled & braised meats, aged cheeses  

Process: hand-picked, dried 40 days in fruttaio, destemmed & gently crushed; fermentation, 15 days maceration; aged in oak, then bottle; natural stabilization

Serving Temperature: 60 - 65 °F
