L’Ecrù is a natural passito wine produced from Zibibbo grapes. For the vinification of this prestigious label Firriato employs a method of infusion which adds the dried grapes directly to the wine; this is absolutely unique within the field of Italian winemaking.

Color: intense golden yellow tending to amber

Nose: fine scents of orange blossom honey, candied orange peels and dried figs, dates, peaches in syrup

Flavor/Finish: aromatic notes of honey, orange blossom, and citronella with fragrances of dates and orange peel

Varietal: Zibibbo

Food Pairing: foie gras, paté, biscotti, cantucci, chocolate cake, blue cheese

Process: 1st week of September, manual harvest in crates and drying on rush mattings for 25-30 days. 2 different grape harvest: After one week to 10 days welcome back into the vineyard for a second grape picking, also known as late grape harvest
