Our Passarosso is made from Nerello Mascalese of ancient vines between 80-110 years old & from different terroirs on different lava flows and altitudes. 2001 was its first vintage.
Color: medium ruby red
Nose: red berries, baking spice & balsamic
Flavor/Finish: flavors of cherry, orange zest, minerals and aniseed, backed by firm acidity & polished tannins; medium-length finish
Varietal: 100% Nerello Mascalese
Food Pairing: seafood, grilled meat
Process: aged 10 months in large oak barrels & cement, with an additional 6 months in bottle
Serving Temperature: 57 - 61 °F
