Toscana is known for the Sangiovese grape. Sangiovese gets its name from Latin word, “Sangius Jovis,” which means, “the blood of Jupiter,” who was the king of the gods.

Color: bright ruby red, with shades of burgundy

Nose: Fruity & sweet, with hints of earthy minerals & chocolate

Flavor/Finish: medium-bodied, with reasonable, dense tannins & spiciness; notes of dark red fruits

Varietal: 100% Sangiovese

Food Pairing: white & red meats, tomatoes, mushrooms, fresh cheeses

Process: aged in 2nd year oak barriques & quintal barrels for 12 months, with a minimum 6 months bottle aging

Serving Temperature: 64 - 66 °F

Alcohol: 13.0%

We wanted to produce a wine that everyone could enjoy, both during meals and on its own. We feel this relatively young, approachable wine accomplishes just that!
