Brunello di Montalcino is one of Italy’s top regional red wines, first labeled as such in 1865 by Biondi-Santi. Wines are made with a special clone of Sangiovese. Our Brunello di Montalcino represents the full Sangiovese expression, while the typical garnet color reflects the tradition of this vine.

Nose: notes of red fruits & berries, underbrush & cooking spices

Flavor/Finish: good structure & acidity; elegant & refined, with soft, silky tannins & flavors of ripe red fruit, mint & tobacco

Varietal: 100% Sangiovese Grosso

Food Pairing: grilled red meats, game, aged cheeses, succulent first courses

Process: hand-picked & harvested; 20-25 days maceration; aged 3 years in big, Slavonian oak casks; aged 6+ months in bottle
